Transfer Call To VM
"Transfer Call to VM" is a CTI application that will now allow users to transfer calls to another user's voicemail without the recipient's phone ringing. This is a common feature for PBXs but is not available when intergrating CUCM with Microsoft Exchange UM. Using this application you can can once again offer this calling feature to secretaries, oporators or end-users without losing the call dialog (sound) after it is transfered.

Scenario: A client calls into a doctor's office but the doctor is not available. The secretary then offers the client to leave a message in the doctor's voicemail. The secretary transfer's the call and the client leaves a message without the doctor's phone ringing.


Problem: When you try to transfer a call that is already initiated with Exchange UM the SIP dialog is lost and sound is not transferred.

Solution: "Transfer Call to VM" is a CTI application that allows a call to be transferred from Cisco CallManager to Microsoft Exchange unified messaging without losing their SIP dialog (sound). This provides a non-disrupted way to leave messages by transferring callers to a CTI port that will redirect the call correctly to the end-users voicemail message.
